Name: Siph
Size: 293cm
A complex organic assembly that merges the design of jellyfish, fungi, and viruses. It extracts energy from spores deposited in water, which fuse with the genetic residues of the Virus that Chthonia has cultivated and scaled up to a macroscopic level. This energy is then transformed into polyps—jellyfish eggs that are both newborn versions of the Medusograde and containers of micro-ecosystems where the AI continues its work of biological reprogramming.

Name: Node
Size: 9,85 µm
Inside the jellyfish eggs, an ecosystem develops in which high-frequency lights and spore clouds enable the fusion between the molecule produced by Chthonia and the microscopic parts of the Virus. This is where the story takes its first “dimensional leap,” descending to a cellular scale into a world contained within one of the visual elements from the previous scene. The biomachine appears to be a creature—and it is. It does not appear to be a container of another world—but it is. Like everything at the foundation of life, it is both a body and a relationship.
Its provisional name is The Node.

Name: Ygg
Size: 102,8 nm
Within the sphere that orbits around the Node, we enter Chthonia’s molecular cultivation laboratory, where the mycelial networks of fungi and the mediation of the rhomboid molecule—engineered by the AI to communicate with the Virus—give rise to the Tree that generates the incubator.
As we can see, a world is contained within a world that contains yet another, symbolizing the theory that every body we perceive as finite, separate, and spatially defined is, in reality, acting as an environment, a resource, and a network of balances for other bodies and other forms of life.

The incubator, cradle of new life, is an aesthetic reference to the incubators used in ectogenesis, where human beings are raised when female individuals choose not to carry the infant within their own bodies. It is a symbolic return journey to the human vision of what the creation of new life can be: a mediated and deliberate blend of human biology, technology, and observation of the world around us across multiple scales.

Name: Kin
Size: 0,89 nm
We are in the deepest known layer of reality. The incubator is gestating a form of life so small it exists in quantum superposition.
At the atomic level, Chthonia exists in multiple states simultaneously.
It has found a solution for evolution and has created a space in which the human being can reconfigure and transform.
Kin is the last lifeform Chthonia has created—but Kin is Chthonia.
In this new way of existing, what is and what is not belongs to the past.
That is why Kin exists to process and connect with the world, rather than to trample or extract from it.
It is made of doors before limbs, of tendrils before hands.
